School Mentoring Program
This program is designed for youth ages 13 through high school. The school mentoring program includes classes taught on self-esteem, character building,
behavior problems and whatever will assist a young person in having a healthy and positive self-image. Ms. Newton is accustomed to assisting young
people with their problems through teaching, counseling, listening and hands-on personal involvement. Ms. Newton has seen lives change from destructive
behavior to being obedient and making good grades in school. Ms. Newton has served in the following high schools: Carver, Hayes, Huffman, Phillips,
Wenonah, and Woodlawn. Some of the curriculums taught include classes on: " Self-Esteem: Me, Myself, and I
" Integrity: Character and Honesty: How Does it Apply to Me?
" Purpose: Why was I born anyway?
Juvenile Detention Centers
This phase began in April of 1991. Our vision and purpose is to meet the needs of young men and women who are confined to these facilities and others like it. We believe that there is hope, and that the young people in these places are misdirected, not hopeless rejects. We conduct Bible studies, concerts, and provide counseling…all to encourage and give future direction to these youth. We will continue to do our part to motivate young people towards claiming their future.
Susan Newton is available for speaking engagements,
school assemblies, youth conferences, Youth Day Events and parenting seminars.
